Plumber Pipe

Plumber Pipe sets you on an 8×5 board of pipe pieces with a tap at one edge and an overflow at the other. Swap pieces by dragging one onto another, then turn the valve — once the water starts it keeps running, so build the line first.

The gist

The short version

Each stage is an 8×5 board with a tap on one edge and an overflow on the other. You swap pipe pieces to make one connected line, then turn the valve: from that moment the water runs continuously, pipe by pipe, and a break in the route ends the stage.

What you're after

What the goal actually is

Get the water from the tap to the overflow along an unbroken line. If the flow reaches a piece that does not connect, the stage ends and you land on a result screen with your best score and stage number. Finish the run and the next stage starts on its own.

How to steer

The controls

Drag a pipe onto another pipe to swap them. Tap a covered piece to flip its cover off before you can read or move it. Solid blocks cannot be swapped, so route around them, and slow pipes make the water take longer to pass through. The valve beside the tap starts the flow, and pressing it again mid-run makes the water rush.

Your first minute

Your first sixty seconds

Follow the tutorial through one swap and one valve turn. On the first board only about four pieces are covered, so use the stage to watch how the water advances pipe by pipe — that pace is what you will be planning against from now on.

A gentle start

An easy way in

Build the whole route before you open the valve. Work outward from the tap so every new piece matches the opening it has to receive, and leave the valve alone until the line reaches the overflow. Every board is generated with a valid route hidden in it, so the answer is always there to find.

Where it wobbles

The usual trip-ups

The classic failure is opening the valve too early: the water walks into a gap and the stage ends before you can fix it. The board is rebuilt on each try, so treat a failed run as a look at where the flow breaks, then rebuild more carefully. While the water runs you can still swap pieces ahead of the flow, but not the one it is passing through.

When you're stuck

A smaller next step

Trace the route from the tap and stop at the first piece whose openings do not line up. Swap just that piece — blocks cannot move, and since a valid route always exists, the fix is usually one wrong piece rather than the whole layout.

From the desk

A note from our desk

Two facts worth planning around: the water never pauses once released, and it gets faster every two stages. Swap first, check the line, then open the valve — the planning happens before the flow starts.

First-timer questions

Before your first play

Is Plumber Pipe timed?

There is no clock, but there is a flow: once you turn the valve the water keeps moving and ends the stage if it meets a gap. Plan the route first, then release.

How do I move a pipe that is in the way?

Drag it onto another piece to swap them. Covered pieces need a tap to uncover, and blocks cannot be moved at all — so check what is movable before you plan around it.

Does the game get harder?

Yes, by design: every two stages the water runs faster, every three stages more solid blocks appear, and every stage adds more covered pieces. The first stages are the gentlest.
